Step 2: The armature

This is the middle phase after I have designed the sculpture. I create a wire armature, flesh it out with aluminum foil, then cover it with a product call paper clay. I develope the rough form of the sculpture before I apply the final step of polymer clay. Stay tuned.

Below are preliminary sketches for my next sculpture. It's a two figure deal which usually takes longer to finish. I'll keep you posted....
