Painting in progress

Yesterday was such a beautiful day (and thankfully, the heat wave is over for now) that I decided to put something on this big canvas I've had laying around my studio for almost a year now. I started around 3pm and just went to town. It's amazing how often I stared at that 3x6 foot canvas without a clue as to what I was going to put on it. Then suddenly I just quickly sketch the composition out freehand and start painting. I limited the palette to three colors plus white. This is a trick I learned when you want a picture to have some harmony without really planning it. lol. I have no sense of color other than what's pleasing to me, I just feel my way thru the dark as it were, and see what I end up with. Here is the work at midpoint by the time I finished around 9pm.Hopefully I'll be able to finish it Sunday (today).

Belasco, when is your next art show? I'm really interested in seeing and possibly purchasing something.
